Software installation requests:
Open-source software:
- Not all open-source software/libraries will be installed in the central software repository. If the software/library is being used by at least a few research groups in our institute, then please open a ticket for requesting installation and provide all necessary information such as a weblink to the download page, installation instructions. PS technical support team may request additional information if required.
Commercial software:
- If the license agreement permits institutional-wide usage, then open a ticket for requesting the installation of software/library and provide all necessary information such as weblink to the download page, installation instructions. Please note that it is mandatory to submit the software/library license agreement document when opening the ticket and the same will be verified by the PS technical support team before proceeding with the installation.
Please note that any software/library can be installed by the user in their home directory on PS provided it does not violate software license Agreement. However, if the user requires assistance in installing the software/library in their home directory, the user may contact the PS technical support team (ticket). But, the support will be provided on a best effort basis.
